GCS Malta is seeking a Systems Engineer to join a leading international communication technology company.

Your Responsibilities

• Managing and overseeing software and hardware systems.
• Configuring and maintaining network equipment, including IPSEC tunnels.
• Ensuring maximum system uptime and availability.
• Monitoring and optimizing application performance to identify bottlenecks.
• Collaborating with Quality Assurance and Development teams on bug fixes and system enhancements. Performing regular backups of critical systems.
• Providing second
• level support to Customer Service, including periodic on
• call duties for after
• hours support.
• Coordinating with service providers and external partners for hardware
• related issues.
• Proactively monitoring and supporting live and pre
• production environments 24x7.
• Undertaking any additional tasks or projects as assigned.

Required Skills

Ideally the candidate must have experience working with various engineering software such as Apache, Nginx, HAProxy and RabbitMQ and others. Having the ability to work in a team, and research on new and current technologies is required.

Qualifications and Experience

The selected candidate must possess a Degree in Computer Science whilst experience in a similar role is considered an asset.
