Senior Account Associate

GCS Malta is seeking an Accounts Associate to work with one of Malta’s leading corporate companies. The chosen candidate will be reporting directly to the Head of Accounts.

Your Responsibilities

• Assisting with various accounting assignments as a self
• motivated team member.
• Managing a portfolio of clients, ensuring accurate accounting record
• keeping.
• Preparing VAT returns and other VAT declarations.
• Compiling management accounts and financial statements adhering to IFRS and GAPSME guidelines.
• Organizing audit files and preparing necessary documentation for auditors.
• Maintaining effective communication with clients and auditors to meet deadlines.

Required Skills

One must be meticulous and pro-active, possessing exceptional communication and organisational skills. The individual must also be capable of working within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Fluency in the English language is considered a must. Knowledge in any additional languages is considered an asset.

Qualifications and Experience

If you are in the process of completing your ACCA and / or Accounting University Degree, with previous working experience of at least 2 years’ within the industry, then this one’s for you! Sound knowledge of IFRS and GAPSME standards, as well as VAT legislation is a must. Proficiency using MS Office applications and accounting software (such as Sage Line 50) is considered an asset.
