GCS Malta is seeking a Junior Sous Chef to join one of Malta's 4* Hotel.
Your Responsibilities
- Collaborating with Chefs to develop and implement restaurant menus.
- Innovating dishes and design plate presentations.
- Maintaining high standards for cuisine quality.
- Assisting in purchasing and scheduling planning.
- Ensuring proper maintenance of kitchen equipment.
- Supervising daily food production with hands
- on oversight.
- Demonstrating mastery of cooking techniques such as sautéing, braising, poaching, grilling, frying, and steaming.
- Efficiently meeting restaurant clients' deadlines and demands.
- Verifying consistency in production across all meal periods.
Required Skills
Strong culinary skills, knowledge of cooking techniques and good command of English is required.
Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of culinary experience in a Mediterranean or Italian Restaurant whilst a culinary school degree or equivalent is preferred.
