GCS Malta is looking for a Head of Maintenance to work with one of Malta's finest hotels.

Your Responsibilities

• Monitoring fridge and freezer temperatures.
• Conducting monthly equipment stocktakes and obtaining repair quotes.
• Scheduling and supervising maintenance work.
• Coordinating with Housekeeping and Front Office for maintenance needs.
• Performing inspections and ensuring compliance with Health and Safety regulations.
• Managing departmental supplies and maintaining records.
• Creating weekly rosters and addressing training needs.
• Ensuring safe working practices and reporting hazards.
• Attending meetings and handling guest requests.

Required Skills

They need excellent problem-solving skills, a solid grasp of health and safety regulations, and budget management capabilities. Effective communication, organizational skills, and relevant technical certifications are essential. Leadership abilities, and emergency response skills are also required.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate should have strong technical expertise in HVAC, plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems, with proven experience in managing maintenance teams and operations. Previous experience is a senior maintenance role is considered an asset.
