Senior Refrigeration Technician

GCS Malta is looking for a Senior Refrigeration Technician to work with one of Malta's leading companies within hospitality and entertainment.

Your Responsibilities

• Planning and assigning work to technicians, ensuring compliance with standards and deadlines
• Scheduling and executing preventive and corrective maintenance
• Reading blueprints, interpreting schematics, and installing climate control systems
• Troubleshooting equipment failures and maintaining stock levels
• Managing repairs, including replacing worn parts and informing management of costs
• Conducting site inspections, ensuring safety practices, and keeping records of findings and incidents

Required Skills

Ideally, possesses exceptional soldering and brazing skills with oxygen/propane, the ability to read and understand wiring diagrams, and proficiency in following operation and installation manuals. Should apply various types of equipment safely and efficiently. Possessing a strong understanding of basic electrical practices, theory, safety, and the fundamental of commercial refrigeration is essential. Basic computer skills and a valid driving license is needed.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate should possess a refrigerant transition and recovery certification, whilst having experience in a similar role, and knowledge of plumbing repair, installation practice and procedure is considered an asset.
