Refrigeration Technician

GCS Malta is looking for a Refrigeration Technician to work with one of Malta's leading companies within hospitality and entertainment.

Your Responsibilities

• Repairing and maintaining refrigeration equipment, including freezers, cookers, and ice machines.
• Conducting inspections, cleaning, and servicing equipment.
• Logging and completing work orders.
• Installing new equipment and fixing leaks.
• Replacing defective parts.
• Collaborating with staff and management on maintenance issues.
• Responding to emergency and after
• hours repair calls.
• Performing additional tasks as assigned.

Required Skills

Ideally, possesses exceptional soldering and brazing skills with oxygen/propane, the ability to read and understand wiring diagrams, and proficiency in following operation and installation manuals. Should apply various types of equipment safely and efficiently. Possessing a strong understanding of basic electrical practices, theory, safety, and the fundamental of commercial refrigeration is essential. Basic computer skills and a valid driving license is needed.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate should possess a refrigerant transition and recovery certification, whilst having experience in a similar role, and knowledge of plumbing repair, installation practice and procedure is considered an asset.
