GCS Malta is seeking a Sous Chef to join one of Malta’s leading group of companies.

Your Responsibilities

  • Assisting in the preparation and design of food menus
  • Producing high
  • quality plates in terms of design and taste
  • Ensuring the kitchen operates on time and meets quality standards
  • Filling in for the Senior Sous Chef to plan and direct food preparation when needed
  • Solving issues and handling problematic situations efficiently
  • Managing and training kitchen staff, creating schedules, and evaluating performance
  • Ordering supplies to maintain appropriate inventory levels
  • Complying with and enforcing sanitation regulations and safety standards (HACCP)
  • Maintaining a positive and professional approach with co
  • workers and customers

Required Skills

Strong culinary skills and knowledge of cooking techniques and strong kitchen and staff management skills are required. Knowledge of computer software programs such as MS office and restaurant management software is essential.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Sous Chef, whilst a culinary school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
