GCS Malta is looking for a Sous Chef to join one of Malta's leading companies within hospitality and entertainment.
Your Responsibilities
- Assisting in managing kitchen operations and leading the team
- Preparing and expediting food for efficient service
- Taking charge of the kitchen in the absence of senior chefs
- Assisting in menu development and recipe creation
- Maintaining equipment and ensuring HACCP and cleaning standards
- Monitoring food, staff, and energy costs
- Reporting to senior management and guiding team members
- Ensuring safety, sanitation, and adherence to health standards
- Following and enforcing company policies and procedures
Required Skills
Ideally, strong problem-solving skills, organizational skills and a great attention to detail are required within this role. Good command of the English language is a must, whilst Maltese is a plus. Flexible to work on weekends and public holidays is essential.
Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate must have at least 3 years’ experience in Hotel Operation is considered an asset.
