Cost Controller

GCS Malta is looking for a Cost Controller to work with a leading group of companies within the hospitality and entertaining industry.

Your Responsibilities

  • Monitoring and controlling daily food and beverage costs.
  • Preparing and analyzing cost reports for savings opportunities.
  • Tracking expenses against budget and preventing inventory over/understocking.
  • Ensuring accurate recording, pricing, and supplier compliance.
  • Analyzing stock variances and supervising stocktaking processes.
  • Providing cost and consumption reports with recommendations for efficiency.
  • Evaluating menu item profitability and recommending pricing adjustments.
  • Implementing internal controls and ensuring compliance with policies.
  • Performing audits and collaborating with finance, procurement, and F&B teams.
  • Advising management on cost
  • saving strategies and training staff on procedures.

Required Skills

Knowledge of Shireburn SFM and SIMS is required, along with having the ability to work in a team setting, time management and work well under pressure. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.

Qualifications and Experience

The chosen candidate must have at least 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within catering or hospitality industries.
