GCS Malta is looking for a Cost Controller to work with a leading group of companies within the hospitality and entertaining industry.
Your Responsibilities
- Monitoring and controlling daily food and beverage costs.
- Preparing and analyzing cost reports for savings opportunities.
- Tracking expenses against budget and preventing inventory over/understocking.
- Ensuring accurate recording, pricing, and supplier compliance.
- Analyzing stock variances and supervising stocktaking processes.
- Providing cost and consumption reports with recommendations for efficiency.
- Evaluating menu item profitability and recommending pricing adjustments.
- Implementing internal controls and ensuring compliance with policies.
- Performing audits and collaborating with finance, procurement, and F&B teams.
- Advising management on cost
- saving strategies and training staff on procedures.
Required Skills
Knowledge of Shireburn SFM and SIMS is required, along with having the ability to work in a team setting, time management and work well under pressure. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
Qualifications and Experience
The chosen candidate must have at least 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within catering or hospitality industries.
