Operations Officer

GCS Malta is looking for an Operations Officer to join one of Malta's leading Fintech companies.

Your Responsibilities

  • Processing and reconciling daily payment transactions.
  • Reviewing and approving payments per client business profiles.
  • Resolving payment processing and reconciliation issues.
  • Maintaining records of monitoring activities and findings.
  • Conducting User Acceptance Testing for payment systems.
  • Ensuring transaction compliance with AML and CFT regulations.
  • Assisting in drafting policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring documentation meets regulatory standards.
  • Collaborating with other departments.
  • Analyzing transaction data for suspicious patterns.
  • Assisting in fraud monitoring.
  • Supporting the development of new monitoring tools.
  • Performing general operational tasks as needed.

Required Skills

Prior experience in SEPA processing including R message is a must, along with data analysis and the ability to work with monitoring systems and tools. The perfect fit would be an individual who's able to multitask, be meticulous and be a strong team player. Fluency in written and spoken English is essential.

Qualifications and Experience

The chosen candidate must be in possession of a Banking, Finance or AML/CFT related qualification, whilst a minimum of 3+ years experience in a similar role within the banking or financial institution is considered an asset.
