Senior Accountant / Senior Finance Officer

GCS Malta is looking for a Senior Accountant / Senior Finance Officer to work with one of Malta's leading companies within hospitality and entertainment.

Your Responsibilities

• Conducting supplier reconciliations
• Supervising the payment processing by the team to ensure timely approvals
• Obtaining monthly updates from finance officers regarding reconciliation issues and escalating them to the line manager as needed
• Assisting in developing automated and streamlined processes for existing and new reconciliations
• Supporting the team in preparing reconciliation statements for the yearly external audits
• Managing the management accounts function for two new companies in collaboration with the Deputy CFO
• Assisting with additional financial reports on an ad
• hoc basis
• Maintaining certain banking relationships

Required Skills

This role requires someone with excellent communication and analytical skill with good organizational abilities, and the ability to solve problems. Strong teamwork skills and having attention to detail is essential.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate must be in possession of an accounting qualification or in the process of obtaining ACCA, whilst a minimum of 2-3 years experience locally is considered an asset.
