Head Pastry Chef

GCS Malta is seeking to recruit a Head Pastry Chef to join one of Malta's leading companies within hospitality and entertainment.

Your Responsibilities

  • Leading the kitchen team to ensure high
  • quality food and exceptional dining experiences.
  • Overseeing dish preparation, cooking, and presentation while maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen.
  • Managing ingredient procurement, stock control, and compliance with food hygiene policies.
  • Collaborating on menu planning and implementing training programs for kitchen staff.
  • Coordinating with the front
  • of
  • house team for seamless service and assisting in the recruitment of new staff.

Required Skills

A solid understanding of cleanliness in food preparation, storage areas, equipment, and machinery is crucial. Additionally, strong organizational, leadership, and planning skills are essential. Fluency in both written and spoken English is required.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate must be in possession of a Valid Skills Pass, whilst experience of a minimum of 2-3 years experience in a similar role is considered an asset.
