DevOps Engineer

GCS Malta is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join one of Malta's leading service providers. The chosen candidate will form part of the Software Delivery team and the role of the DevOps Engineer is to build, test, and maintain the infrastructure and tools to speed up and automate aspects of the software release life cycle.

Your Responsibilities

• Continuing to build the DevOps processes, practices and tools to empower and support software delivery teams
• Working side by side with software developers to develop and deploy automated test scripts within the company's CI/CD
• pipeline
• Ensuring availability and monitoring of critical systems
• Maintaining infrastructure appliances
• Maintaining and improving the governance of existing databases (Oracle / MySQL / MSSQL)

Required Skills

To support continuous integration and delivery using a range of technologies, the ideal applicant must have prior expertise designing, building, testing, and deploying DevOps toolchains. Also, experience with virtualization and orchestration technologies, such as VMWare, Open Stack, Docker Swarm and Kubernetes, and experience in building and maintaining workflows on a variety of systems, mainly GitLab CI pipelines is a must.

Qualifications and Experience

If you are in possession of a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or another related field, then this one's for you! A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar position is a must.
