GCS Malta is looking for a Junior Accountant to work with a leading group of hotels in Malta.

Your Responsibilities

• Assisting with month
• end procedures for accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Reconciling balance sheet and bank accounts monthly, addressing discrepancies.
• Producing and analyzing monthly payroll reports, ensuring compliance.
• Preparing statutory returns, including VAT.
• Supporting the CFO in budget preparation, year
• end, forecasts, and cash flows; participating in meetings.
• Preparing audit files for a smooth audit process.
• Maintaining open communication within the finance department and keeping the CFO informed of key updates.
• Ensuring financial integrity by implementing and maintaining sound financial controls and procedures.

Required Skills

This role requires a strong understanding of local finance, taxation, and employment legislation, as well as experience with accounting management software. Familiarity with hotel PMS systems like The New Hotel, Micros POS, and Shireburn SFM will be considered a plus.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate must be in possession of a Degree in Business Management with a specialization in Accountancy, or an ACCA qualification is considered an asset.
