GCS Malta is searching for a Health & Safety Specialist to work with one of Malta's leading security companies.

Your Responsibilities

• Developing and enforcing health and safety policies, ensuring compliance with local regulations and industry standards.
• Supporting management in standardizing safety practices across departments.
• Staying updated on Maltese regulations, conducting regular inspections, identifying risks, and implementing mitigation strategies.
• Leading incident investigations, maintaining records, and promoting preventive measures.
• Designing and delivering safety training, coordinating new hire inductions, and working with external consultants as needed.
• Managing emergency response plans and conducting drills.
• Fostering a safety
• focused culture through collaboration with department heads and engaging with the Health & Safety Committee.

Required Skills

This role requires proficiency in H&S software, along with leadership, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with Maltese being advantageous.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate must be in possession of a Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, or an equivalent qualification certified by MQRIC and have previous experience within the industry, as it is considered an asset.
