GCS Malta is looking for a Financial Accountant to join a leading Fintech company in Malta.

Your Responsibilities

• Preparing monthly management accounts and supporting documents.
• Performing internal controls for financial results.
• Reconciling balance sheets with supporting documentation.
• Assisting with cost assurance and variance analysis.
• Conducting payroll checks and quarterly VAT returns.
• Supporting audit deliverables, projections, and board packs.
• Maintaining accounting principles and procedures.
• Driving process improvements and automation.
• Handling ad hoc finance requests and reporting.
• Fostering positive interdepartmental relationships.

Required Skills

This role requires a candidate knowledgeable in IFRS accounting principles, with experience in financial reporting and expertise in income tax, VAT, or inventory management. Strong analytical, organizational and motivational skills are essential within this role.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate should be ACCA qualified, in the final stages of ACCA, or hold a Master's Degree in Accountancy, with at least 3 years of experience in a Big 4 firm, preferably in audit, considered an asset.
