Sommelier

GCS Malta is looking for a Sommelier to work with one of Malta's leading companies within hospitality and entertainment.

Your Responsibilities

• Managing the wine program, including selection, storage, and service.
• Recommending and pairing wines to enhance guest experiences.
• Participating in regular wine training sessions.
• Ensuring proper storage and serving temperatures for wines.
• Assisting with setup and service at private events and special functions.
• Monitoring wine inventory and coordinating stock replenishment.
• Maintaining cleanliness and organization of wine storage areas.
• Collaborating with bar and restaurant teams for seamless service.
• Addressing guest inquiries and providing excellent customer service.
• Supporting wine
• related events and promotions.

Required Skills

This role requires strong knowledge of wines, wine regions, and local vineyards and wineries. Excellent interpersonal skills, a strong personality, and a positive attitude are essential. Fluency in both spoken and written English is needed.

Qualifications and Experience

The chosen candidate must have a Certification as a Sommelier, whilst previous experience is considered an asset.
