Claims Processing Support Assistant

GCS Malta is seeking to recruit a Claims Processing Support Assistant to join one of Malta's leading insurance companies.

Your Responsibilities

  • Reviewing FNOL against policy schedules and escalating unusual cases.
  • Managing claims within allocated files and meeting assigned objectives.
  • Ensuring accuracy in claim entry and updating reserves.
  • Handling recovery files and reconciling debtor and creditor statements.
  • Processing claims payments and maintaining accurate records.
  • Following complaint management procedures diligently.
  • Identifying recovery opportunities and sending holding letters to negligent parties.
  • Reviewing final claims submissions before payment recommendations.
  • Participating in monthly claims reviews.
  • Supporting investigations of potential fraudulent claims.
  • Liaising with brokers and TIIs on claims.
  • Performing additional responsibilities as assigned by management.

Required Skills

This role requires a candidate with strong analytical and communication skills, attention to detail, and basic accounting knowledge. Proficiency in using Microsoft office applications is essential.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates with certifications such as Cert CII, finance-related courses, or an introduction to insurance claims will be viewed favorably.
