GCS Malta is looking for an Accountant to work with one of Malta’s leading security companies.

Your Responsibilities

• Preparing and submitting monthly management accounts.
• Compiling and filing VAT returns accurately and on time.
• Ensuring compliance with statutory and internal financial policies.
• Reviewing and improving internal control procedures.
• Developing and maintaining systems to monitor company costs and financial feasibilities.
• Leading budgeting process and assisting with cash flow management.
• Preparing cash flow forecasts and aligning with company objectives.
• Processing monthly work
• in
• progress calculations for ongoing projects.
• Preparing ad hoc financial reports and providing analysis.
• Offering recommendations to improve financial performance.
• Managing and guiding the accounts team to meet objectives.

Required Skills

The candidate must have proficiency in accounting principles, budgeting, and cost control, advanced Excel skills, along with experience with accounting software and ERP systems. Knowledge of VAT regulations and statutory reporting and expertise in job/project costing and financial feasibility assessments. Strong interpersonal skills, self-motivation, and a keen eye for detail are essential for this role.

Qualifications and Experience

The selected candidate must be ACCA qualified or in the final stages of qualification, or hold a similar certification, with prior experience in a project-based company considered an asset.
