Senior Audit Manager

GCS Malta is looking for a Senior Audit Manager to work with a local assurance firm. The ideal candidate will be overseeing the Audit team and supporting the Director of Audit with departmental needs.

Your Responsibilities

  • Overseeing client audits, including planning, execution, and completion of financial audits.
  • Conducting audits of financial statements across various industries.
  • Ensuring audits meet deadlines, budgets, and audit plans.
  • Allocating resources and managing multiple audit projects with a team.
  • Meeting clients to discuss audit findings and maintaining relationships.
  • Monitoring and improving audit quality service.
  • Providing guidance to the audit team throughout the process.
  • Delivering training on accounting and auditing.
  • Managing client portfolios, reviewing working papers, and discussing fees.
  • Identifying and addressing overruns.
  • Staying updated on accounting and auditing standards.
  • Providing technical direction and training to audit staff.
  • Participating in the recruitment process.

Required Skills

The ideal candidate should have strong technical expertise in audit, accounting, finance, and technology, with in-depth knowledge of IFRSs, GAPSME, and ISAs. They must have excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, and advanced proficiency in MS Excel. Experience with SAGE and XERO accounting software is a plus.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants must be fully ACCA or UoM qualified, with at least 4 years of experience working within an Audit team at senior level is considered an asset.
