Compliance Officer

GCS Malta is looking for a Compliance Officer to work within a group of companies.

Your Responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing compliance policies and frameworks.
  • Ensuring adherence to local laws and regulations.
  • Conducting compliance reviews, audits, and risk assessments.
  • Acting as the main contact with Regulators and managing audits.
  • Monitoring client acceptance, transactions, and risk reviews.
  • Assisting with legislative analysis and compliance risk identification.
  • Discussing unusual transactions with relevant teams.
  • Ensuring KYC, AML/CFT, and onboarding controls are in place.
  • Managing client portfolios and overseeing compliance projects.
  • Serving as the primary contact for regulatory bodies.
  • Supporting business strategy and ensuring compliance with products/services.
  • Providing compliance training and raising staff awareness.
  • Reporting compliance and risk activities to senior management.
  • Managing chargeable time, pricing, invoicing, and productivity.
  • Submitting timesheets and meeting chargeability targets.
  • Undertaking additional duties as required.

Required Skills

This role requires solid understanding of local and international tax and regulations including exposure to CRS, FATCA, BEPS, GAAR. Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills with a strong commercial mindset is essential.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate must be in possession of a relevant Bachelor or Master Degree or another related field, whilst at least 10 years' experience within compliance is considered an asset.
