Junior Accountant

GCS Malta is looking for a Junior Accountant to work with one of Malta’s leading group of companies in Malta.

Your Responsibilities

• Assisting with general ledger entries and processing accounts payable and receivable.
• Preparing and filing VAT returns in compliance with tax regulations.
• Monitoring VAT deadlines and addressing discrepancies.
• Reconciling bank accounts and maintaining accurate financial records.
• Supporting the preparation of financial reports and statements.
• Supervising and guiding team members to ensure accuracy and policy compliance.

• end closing activities.
• Supporting audits by preparing necessary documentation.
• Handling other ad
• hoc reporting tasks as needed.

Required Skills

Strong analytical, organizational and communications skills are essential within this role, along with the ability to build customer relationships. Strong verbal and written communication skills, especially in English.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate should hold a Degree in Accounting or be in the process of obtaining an ACCA qualification. At least 2 years of experience in a similar role is considered an asset.
