GCS Malta is looking for a Fiber Optic Specialist to work with one of Malta’s leading service providers.

Your Responsibilities

• Managing work schedules to ensure timely task completion.
• Anticipating stakeholder needs and aligning project timelines.
• Mentoring and guiding technical teams for collaboration.
• Identifying skill gaps and arranging training.
• Resolving team challenges and ensuring productivity.
• Evaluating performance and providing feedback.
• Inspecting and maintaining fiber optic network reliability.
• Diagnosing and resolving system issues using advanced tools.
• Collaborating on network design and planning.
• Ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Required Skills

Proficiency in fiber optic systems, including splicing and testing techniques, is essential, along with the ability to efficiently diagnose and resolve complex network issues. This role requires strong communication, meticulous and organizational skills.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience leading technician teams, managing on-site operations, and possessing knowledge of Layer 1 and 2 telecom industry standards and technologies such as GPON, WDM, and ITU.
