GCS Malta is looking for a Tax Clerk to join a well-established Malta-based law firm.

Your Responsibilities

  • Scanning, saving, filing, and forwarding documents to the team and clients.
  • Verifying the accuracy of figures in documents like tax statements and receipts against internal records and coordinating with clients for timely tax payments.
  • Updating internal lists and coordinating with accountants and clients for upcoming VAT returns and VAT recap statements.
  • Assisting with client onboarding, including preparing engagement letters, authorization forms, and shareholder registration forms.
  • Coordinating with MTCA for necessary changes or certificates.
  • Submitting NIL VAT/Tax returns and assisting with Intrastat submissions through the MTCA portal.
  • Performing other administrative tasks as required.

Required Skills

This role requires strong organizational, meticulous and communication skills. Proficiency in both written and spoken English, along with strong skills in MS Office applications, is essential.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate must have previous work experience in an accounting clerical role as it is considered an asset.
