GCS Malta is seeking to recruit a Cyber Security Analyst to work with a local public agency.
Your Responsibilities
- Monitoring security alerts and logs from security tools.
- Investigating and responding to security incidents in real time.
- Assisting in incident response plan development and implementation.
- Conducting forensic analysis and post
- incident reviews.
- Performing vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
- Identifying and remediating system vulnerabilities with IT teams.
- Supporting security audits for compliance with regulations.
- Preparing reports on security metrics and compliance status.
- Staying updated on emerging cyber threats.
- Collaborating on developing and maintaining security policies. Educating staff on security best practices.
- Assisting with secure system configuration and management.
- Communicating security issues to stakeholders.
- Providing Level 1 and 2 network support as needed.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Required Skills
This role requires a solid understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and security technologies, as well as familiarity with security frameworks. Knowledge of scripting or programming languages is an advantage. Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills are required.
Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate should have an MQF Level 6 qualification in Computer Science with a minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience, or an MQF Level 5 qualification with 5 years of experience. Relevant certification such as CISSP, CISM or equivalent will be considered an asset.
