GCS Malta is looking for a Junior Remediation Associate to work with one of Malta’s leading financial companies.

Your Responsibilities

  • Assisting with planning and executing AML/CFT compliance examinations.
  • Analyzing examination results and preparing detailed reports.
  • Participating in supervision and compliance monitoring committees.
  • Coordinating with competent authorities and regulatory bodies.
  • Advising subject persons on AML/CFT structures and controls.
  • Supporting risk assessments and risk verification procedures.
  • Following up on compliance examination outcomes.
  • Participating in training for subject persons and supervisory authorities.
  • Assisting with evaluations by local and international bodies.
  • Performing other job
  • related duties as assigned.

Required Skills

A strong understanding of Maltese Financial and Money Laundering laws is essential for this role, along with experience or knowledge in risk assessment, data analysis, or statistics. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Maltese and English is required whilst proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office is a must.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate should hold an MQF Level 5 qualification in Risk Management, Banking & Finance, or a related field, along with a minimum of 2 years of work experience. Alternatively, candidates with an MQF Level 4 qualification and at least 3 years of relevant experience will also be considered.
