Senior Client Accountant

GCS Malta is seeking to recruit a Senior Client Accountant to work with a leading accounting firm in Malta.

Your Responsibilities

• Preparing client accounts for management reports.
• Preparing and submitting VAT and tax returns.
• Preparing and submitting payroll reports.
• Following internal controls and procedures.
• Preparing payment instructions as needed.
• Liaising with external auditors.
• Assisting clients with tax refund formalities.

Required Skills

This role requires expertise in Maltese VAT and tax law, along with proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel. Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills are essential. Fluency in English, and Italian knowledge will be considered an asset.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate should be a fully qualified accountant or nearing qualification, with 3-5 years of accounting experience in Malta considered an asset.
