Group Financial Officer

GCS Malta is seeking a Group Financial Officer to work with one of Malta’s leading group of companies.

Your Responsibilities

• Leading financial report preparation and consolidation (monthly, quarterly, annual).
• Ensuring compliance with IFRS and local statutory requirements.
• Managing external auditor relationships and audits.
• Overseeing budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis.
• Providing insights to improve operational efficiency and strategic goals.
• Monitoring Group liquidity, cash flow, and working capital.
• Optimizing treasury operations, including forex and financing costs.
• Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
• Managing financial systems and driving automation for real
• time insights.

Required Skills

This role demands expertise in financial consolidation, performance management, and treasury functions, along with a strong understanding of the Maltese Statutory and Tax regime. Proficiency in financial systems and ERP platforms is also required. Excellent analytical, strategic-thinking, and decision-making skills, with a focus on achieving results and fostering strategic partnerships.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, and be a Warranted & Chartered Accountant. A minimum of 10 years' experience in senior group finance roles is preferred.
