GCS Malta is seeking to recruit a Data Analytics Lead to join one of Malta’s leading tech companies.
Your Responsibilities
- Designing interactive dashboards and reports using data visualization tools
- Collaborating with data engineers to define data requirements and optimize pipelines
- Using statistical techniques to derive insights and support strategic decisions
- Enhancing data use in national and sectoral risk assessments related to ML/FT risks
- Communicating insights to diverse audiences
- Researching AI and analytics advancements to improve business processes
- Collaborating with technology teams and stakeholders
- Mentoring team members and maintaining documentation for troubleshooting and knowledge sharing
Required Skills
This role requires advanced knowledge of analytical tools or languages, preferably Power BI and Python (with libraries like Pandas). Candidates should have experience in mathematical and statistical applications, including regression and classification techniques, and working with large datasets. Proficiency in AML/CFT principles, AI, machine learning, SQL querying, and database principles are essential. Strong communication and presentation skills are required, along with experience in coaching and mentoring junior team members
Qualifications and Experience
Candidates should ideally possess an MQF Level 6 qualification in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field, along with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role, including at least 1 year in a senior position. Alternatively, candidates with an MQF Level 5 qualification and at least 7 years of relevant experience will also be considered.
