GCS Malta is seeking to recruit an IT Systems Administrator to join one of Malta’s leading tech companies.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring and supporting servers, networks, and applications
• Resolving incidents, problems, and service requests
• Providing Level 1–3 technical support and troubleshooting
• Liaising with users, internal teams, and vendors
• Operating and supporting PKI systems per compliance standards
• Maintaining IT compliance, documentation, and audit readiness
• Managing software and hardware deployments and changes
• Automating tasks and maintaining system performance
• Supporting disaster recovery and failover testing
• Performing other duties as required

The ideal candidate should hold a Higher Education qualification in IT or a related field, with at least 2 years of experience in IT systems administration or a similar role. In the absence of a relevant qualification, an additional 5 years of proven experience is required.

Candidates with hands-on experience in server and data center administration, as well as practical experience in managing applications, web services, and databases, will be considered an asset.

Strong motivation, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills are essential. Fluency in written and spoken English is required, while knowledge of an additional European language is considered an advantage.
