GCS Malta is looking for a Data Solutions Specialist to work with one of Malta’s leading service providers.
The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a data-related field and possess substantial hands-on experience in the data sector, with a proven history of managing and delivering complex data products successfully. Experience in Telecoms would be considered an asset.
Applicants will have a strong grasp of data modelling across conceptual, logical, and physical design, with hands-on experience in Operational Data Stores, Enterprise Data Warehouses, and Data Marts. They should demonstrate expertise in business intelligence and data warehousing best practices, be highly proficient in SSIS, SSRS, SSMS, and advanced SQL, and have practical experience with at least one cloud-based data platform.
This role requires a result-driven and a problem-solving approach.

Responsibilities
- Managing project prioritization, planning, and delivery communication
- Gathering and documenting business requirements
- Writing user stories and acceptance criteria for new features
- Maintaining and prioritizing the product backlog
- Leading sprint planning and managing team workloads
- Supporting data warehouse modelling for accuracy and performance
- Acting as a key contact for stakeholders on feature development
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams for alignment
- Becoming a subject matter expert on the data platform
- Contributing to the data strategy and roadmap development
