GCS Malta is looking for a Cyber Security Engineer to work with one of Malta’s leading service providers.
The ideal candidate must be in possession of an Information Technology Degree in the relevant technical field and/or specialized security certification, whilst at least 1-2 years’ experience in a Cyber Security role is considered an asset.
Candidates should be familiar with ISO 27001, PCIDSS, GDPR, and NIS 2 standards. Proficiency in security technologies, such as Intrusion Detection Systems and Security Information Event Management solutions, is essential. A solid understanding of OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities and experience in various operating systems and network security are required. Relevant certifications (e.g., CISA, CISSP, CISM) are a plus.
Excellent time management, analytical, and communication skills are required.

Responsibilities
- Defining and updating security policies, procedures, and guidelines
- Conducting security reviews and vulnerability scans
- Monitoring threats and managing security incidents
- Providing staff training and awareness on cyber security
- Ensuring compliance with PCI DSS and regulatory requirements
- Supporting daily security operations and system maintenance
- Assisting in roadmap planning and documenting responsibilities
