GCS Malta is seeking to recruit a Data Developer to work with a local public agency.
The ideal candidate should hold an MQF Level 6 qualification in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or Analytics, along with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. Alternatively, an MQF Level 5 qualification with at least 4 years of experience will also be considered.
Preferred candidates will have proven experience in data warehousing principles, including data modelling and ETL processes. They should possess strong coding skills, ideally in C# or a similar language, along with proficiency in data querying, preferably using T-SQL. Familiarity with basic DevOps practices such as Git and CI/CD, cloud platforms like Azure, and modern data orchestration tools such as Azure Data Factory and Azure Synapse is also highly desirable.

- Assisting in the development and maintenance of data warehouse solutions
- Implementing and testing ETL data pipelines from various sources
- Developing and maintaining data warehouse schemas and data models
- Monitoring data quality and maintaining version control
- Understanding business logic and source data definitions for accurate documentation
- Collaborating with data analysts and stakeholders to define data requirements
- Working with internal tech teams and system owners to support data initiatives
