Job Description

GCS Malta is recruiting an experienced Sous Chef to support the culinary team at a boutique hotel.
 

Responsibilities

  • Preparing and cooking breakfast for hotel guests, ensuring high quality and presentation standards
  • Managing lunch and snack preparation independently, overseeing kitchen operations during shifts
  • Maintaining kitchen cleanliness and organization in line with hygiene and food safety regulations
  • Monitoring stock levels and contributing to menu planning with fresh and creative ideas
  • Delivering smooth and timely meal service while accommodating guest requests
  • Collaborating with hotel staff to ensure an exceptional guest experience


The chosen candidate must have previous experience in a similar role, ideally in boutique hotels or small restaurants. 

Applicants should be able to work independently, demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities, and bring a genuine passion for food paired with excellent attention to detail.

One must be flexible to work shifts, including mornings and weekends.
