GCS Malta is looking for a Process Engineer to join a leading pharmaceutical company in Malta. The chosen candidate will be reporting to the Engineering Manager.

 

Responsibilities

• Analysing and troubleshooting process and equipment issues, identifying solutions, and implementing improvements to enhance quality, efficiency, and uptime.
• Organising, maintaining, and optimising the maintenance management system and other scheduled activities to ensure effectiveness and compliance.
• Investigating deviations, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective/preventive actions (CAPAs) to strengthen process control and minimise recurrence.
• Supporting the planning and execution of engineering projects, equipment upgrades, and investment initiatives – ensuring delivery on-time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
• Ensuring all activities comply with cGMP requirements, company policies, engineering best practices, and regulatory standards.
• Providing hands-on support during new process introductions, technology transfers, and scale-up projects to ensure smooth integration and minimal disruption.
• Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues efficiently and contribute to achieving production targets.

 

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Engineering (MQF Level 4 or higher) and has proven experience within the manufacturing industry, preferably in the pharmaceutical sector.

Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to take initiative, manage multiple priorities, and deliver results under pressure, is an asset. A self-motivated mindset and commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement are essential.
