GCS Malta is looking for an Accountant to work with one of the leading Fintech companies in Malta.

 

Responsibilities

• Assisting with monthly management accounts and supporting workings
• Performing internal control processes for monthly, quarterly, and annual results
• Assisting in monthly cost assurance and variance analysis
• Preparing and submitting quarterly VAT returns
• Supporting financial regulatory reporting and compliance requirements
• Preparing audit deliverables, financial projections, and Board packs
• Contributing to accounting policies, procedures, and internal control maintenance
• Assisting with process improvements and workflow automation
• Collaborating with departments to ensure accurate financial transaction treatment
• Supporting the finance function with ad hoc analysis and reporting

 

The ideal candidate should be ACCA qualified or hold a Master’s Degree in Accountancy, with at least 3 years of relevant experience, preferably gained within an accounting firm; audit experience is considered an asset.

This role requires in-depth knowledge of IFRS standards and experience in financial reporting, along with experience with tax, VAT, or regulatory reporting requirements.

Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills are required. The candidate should be detail-oriented, proactive, and hands-on, with a focus on accuracy and continuous process improvement.
