GCS Malta is seeking an Accounting Manager for a prominent limited liability company.

 

Responsibilities

• Supervising, mentoring, and managing the accounting team.
• Overseeing financial statements, month-end/quarter-end/year-end closes, and audits.
• Managing accounts payable, receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
• Preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial reports; monitoring variances.
• Implementing accounting systems, process improvements, and efficiency tools.
• Maintaining client relationships and acting as primary contact.
• Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, tax laws, and regulations.
• Staying updated through CPD and professional development.

 

The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor/ Master's Degree in Accounting or is ACCA qualified or equivalent, whilst 4-5 years' experience in an accounting environment is considered an asset.

This role requires solid technical knowledge of GAPSME, IFRS, and local compliance requirements, along with proficiency in managing end-to-end accounting cycles, including financial reporting and payroll.

Requires strong analytical skills for budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, with keen attention to detail and a focus on accuracy.
