GCS Malta Is looking for a Legal Manager to join one of Malta’s leading Fintech companies.
The ideal candidate should be a qualified lawyer with a recognized legal degree and a license to practice in an EU jurisdiction, with at least 5 years of post-qualification experience, preferably in commercial, payments, fintech, or financial services law.
This role requires solid expertise in commercial contracts and a keen interest in payments regulation and emerging EU financial services law. The candidate should have practical experience with PSD2, AML/CFT frameworks, data protection, and licensing matters, as well as knowledge of payment innovations, payments architecture, and relevant regulatory frameworks.
Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills are essential.

Responsibilities
- Providing legal advice on contracts, agreements, and partnerships, focusing on payments and financial services
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating supplier, client, partnership, and technology contracts
- Advising on regulatory and compliance requirements in financial services and payment regulations
- Supporting external counsel, regulatory inquiries, and complex legal matters
- Identifying legal risks and proposing practical solutions
- Supporting internal projects and cross-functional initiatives
- Preparing reports and materials for decision-making and risk management
- Assisting in developing policies and frameworks to ensure compliance
- Providing training and guidance on legal and regulatory matters
