GCS Malta is looking for a Maintenance Technician to work with one of Malta’s leading solar energy companies.
Responsibilities
- Performing preventive and reactive maintenance on M&E systems, including electrical panels, HVAC, pumps, motors, lighting, and controls
- Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults safely and efficiently, following REWS and OHSA regulations
- Conducting testing, inspection, and certification of electrical systems
- Maintaining, repairing, and adjusting mechanical systems as needed
- Keeping accurate records of maintenance, inspections, and repairs
- Coordinating with external contractors, suppliers, and management for planned works
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies
- Participating in on-call duties and emergency breakdown responses
The ideal candidate must be in possession of a REWS Electrical License (Authorization A or B) and a recognized qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a maintenance or building services environment is considered an asset.
This role demands sound knowledge of electrical regulations, wiring standards, and safe working practices, along with the ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
Experience with BMS systems, HVAC, and industrial plant is also considered an asset, strong manual problem-solving skills are essential.
