Operations Manager

GCS Malta is looking for an Operations Manager to join one of Malta's leading manufacturing companies.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing importation, storage, and quality control of raw materials
• Managing production operations, maintenance, and logistics to meet targets
• Optimizing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and cost control
• Supervising preventive maintenance and ensuring equipment reliability
• Ensuring compliance with HACCP, safety, and environmental regulations
• Managing facility upkeep and coordinating with contractors
• Leading operational projects and process improvement initiatives
• Overseeing team performance, training, and resource allocation
• Preparing operational reports and monitoring KPIs for management

The ideal candidate should hold an MQF Level 6 qualification in a relevant field and/or have at least 5 years of managerial experience, with a strong background in operations or plant management, preferably within feed production, food manufacturing, or a similar industry.

This role requires a solid understanding of production processes, logistics, and maintenance management, along with strong skills in operational planning, project management, and process optimization. Financial acumen, including experience in budgeting and cost control, is also essential.

Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills are essential.
