GCS Malta is looking for an Assistant Cost Controller to work with a leading group of companies within the hospitality and entertaining industry.
Responsibilities
- Accounting for daily inter-outlet transfers to ensure accurate cost allocation and inventory reconciliation.
- Assisting the Cost Controller with market surveys for food and beverage products.
- Conducting biannual equipment inventories and reporting any losses.
- Performing spot checks to monitor spoilage, wastage, and pilferage across all outlets.
- Ensuring par stock levels in kitchens and bars are maintained and reporting discrepancies.
- Verifying supplier invoices and performing random checks on received goods before forwarding for processing.
- Importing daily POS sales data for accurate inventory reconciliation.
- Preparing daily and weekly food cost calculations for review by the Cost Controller.
- Updating POS systems with new menu items, prices, and changes.
- Inputting stock data and reconciling food and beverage sales.
- Conducting monthly stock takes and random spot checks across outlets and stores.
- Performing additional tasks assigned by the Cost Controller or Financial Controller.
The chosen candidate must have at least 2 years’ experience working in a similar position, whilst previous experience using Shireburn Inventory System will be considered an asset.
Applicants should be able to work effectively within a team environment and manage multiple priorities efficiently. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities, along with excellent attention to detail, are essential for this role.
Fluency in English language is a must.
