GCS Malta is looking for a Global Technical Support Engineer to join an international high-tech company.
Responsibilities
- Providing 2nd and 3rd line IT support and technical guidance.
- Managing Windows Server environments, AD, backups, and patching.
- Leading root cause analysis and implementing long-term fixes.
- Ensuring compliance with ICAO, EIDAS, and ISO27001 standards.
- Automating tasks through scripting to improve efficiency.
- Supporting disaster recovery testing and documentation.
- Collaborating with internal teams and vendors.
- Mentoring junior staff and maintaining technical documentation.
The ideal candidate holds a degree in IT or equivalent experience, with at least 3 years in Windows enterprise support and operations. Strong knowledge of change management, Microsoft SQL, and customer support is required, while experience with networking, Hyper-V, and PKI systems is an asset.
Candidates should have at least 1 year of hands-on experience in one or more focus areas: Windows Domain Administration (including AD, DNS, GPO, Hyper-V, and WSUS), Application Lifecycle management, or PKI and CA operations. Microsoft or other relevant technical certifications are preferred.
The ideal candidate has ITIL experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office, with excellent communication and customer-facing abilities. Fluency in English is required; French is a plus.
