GCS Malta is currently seeking to recruit an Audit Director to work with one of Malta’s leading financial companies.
Responsibilities
- Developing and implementing an audit strategy aligned with company goals and regulations.
- Leading and managing the audit team, promoting professional growth and evaluating performance.
- Overseeing audit planning, execution, and reporting, and communicating findings to management and the board.
- Assessing internal controls, risk management, and governance frameworks, and recommending improvements.
- Staying updated on industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure best practices.
- Collaborating with teams to resolve audit findings and following up on corrective actions.
The ideal candidate should possess relevant professional certification and have over 10 years of audit experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role, which would be highly advantageous.
A solid understanding of regulatory requirements and auditing standards is essential, coupled with a proven track record of managing audits end-to-end—from planning to execution and reporting—with a strong focus on risk assessment.
Exceptional analytical skills are required, as well as strong leadership, communication and problem-solving abilities.
