Employment Associate - Lawyer

GCS Malta is seeking to recruit an Employment Associate – Lawyer to work with a leading multi-disciplinary law firm in Malta.

 

Responsibilities

• Assisting clients by providing legal support and advice.
• Researching and drafting legal and judicial documents.
• Drafting and reviewing employment contracts, policies, and procedures.
• Handling job evaluation and ensuring equal pay compliance.
• Attending court and industrial tribunal sittings and advising on litigation and dispute resolution.
• Supporting the legal team under the direction of the Firm’s partners and collaborating with colleagues on multidisciplinary matters.

 

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of three years’ post-qualification experience within a law firm or in-house legal team, together with practical experience in industrial relations and employment law.

This role requires a strong interest in legal developments, with the aim of building one’s professional profile while contributing to the firm’s growth in the practice area. A proactive mindset is essential, along with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Strong analytical, communication and client-handling skills are required.
