GCS Malta is looking for a Chief Financial Officer to work with one of Malta’s leading security companies.
Responsibilities
- Defining and implementing financial strategy to align with overall corporate objectives.
- Providing financial insight for Board decisions, investments, and business priorities.
- Leading planning, forecasting, and performance management; supervised strategic financial KPIs.
- Overseeing accounting, reporting, treasury, and compliance functions.
- Ensuring robust internal controls and audit readiness.
- Managing cash flow, working capital, and funding requirements; maintained bank relationships.
- Partnering with operations on project costing, contract controls, and profitability analysis.
- Providing commercial input for tenders, bids, and negotiations.
- Driving efficiency and cost discipline while implementing risk management frameworks.
- Leading and mentoring finance teams; enhanced financial systems and processes for project operations.
Candidates must hold a professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CPA, or an equivalent designation. A minimum of five years' senior financial leadership experience (as CFO or Head of Finance) within the construction or M&E sectors is highly desirable.
The role requires a strong track record in cash flow management, project finance, and risk control, alongside experience in multi-entity, multi-country structures. Essential skills include strong commercial acumen, excellent leadership and Board-level communication, and advanced knowledge of financial modelling, capital structuring, and project financing.
The candidate must also have the ability to drive digital transformation (ERP, BI, automation). Prior exposure to M&A or corporate restructuring is an advantage.
