GCS Malta is seeking an Manager – Outsourced Payroll Solutions for a prominent limited liability company.
Responsibilities
- Overseeing full payroll cycles for multiple clients and ensuring accurate, timely processing of wages, bonuses, deductions, and taxes.
- Managing statutory filings, social security payments, and year-end submissions.
- Staying updated on payroll legislation and optimizing payroll software and HRIS systems.
- Implementing strong internal controls, audits, and reconciliation processes.
- Handling complex client inquiries, supporting new client onboarding, and advising on regulatory updates.
- Leading and mentoring the payroll team, providing ongoing training, and supporting recruitment.
- Preparing customized payroll and general ledger reports and identifying process improvements.
- Keeping up to date with industry trends and promoting continuous learning within the team.
The ideal candidate should hold a qualification in HR, Payroll, or a related field, and have 5–7 years of progressive payroll experience, including at least 2–3 years in a leadership or supervisory role, which is considered an asset.
The role requires proven experience managing outsourced or multi-client payroll environments, strong knowledge of payroll legislation, taxation, social security, and employment regulations, and proficiency in payroll and HRIS systems. Experience with system implementations or migrations is an asset, along with a solid track record in process improvement, workflow design, and quality assurance.
