GCS Malta is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to work with one of Malta’s leading solar energy companies.
Responsibilities
- Preparing detailed cost estimates and project budgets.
- Developing and managing billing schedules and invoicing.
- Measuring and valuing construction work, including materials, labour, and equipment.
- Preparing and submitting interim and final payment applications.
- Monitoring project costs and identifying variances.
- Conducting site visits to assess progress and verify completed work.
- Preparing and reviewing contracts to ensure compliance with terms and conditions.
- Negotiating and managing variations, claims, and disputes.
- Maintaining accurate financial records and project documentation.
- Providing financial and contractual advice to project teams and stakeholders.
- Ensuring compliance with regulations, standards, and best practices.
The ideal candidate should be in possession of a Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveyor, Construction Management or a related field, whilst a minimum of at least 3 years of experience in quantity surveying and billing for construction projects is considered an asset.
Applicants must have strong knowledge of construction contracts, costs, and financial management, along with excellent analytical, numerical and communication skills.
Proficiency in quantity surveying software and tools is essential.
