GCS Malta is seeking a Foodstore Manager to join one of Malta’s leading group of companies.

 

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing daily food store operations to meet performance and budget targets
  • Delivering high-quality customer service and resolving complaints promptly
  • Managing inventory, stock control, FIFO, and loss prevention
  • Maintaining hygiene, HACCP, health, safety, and security standards
  • Leading, training, supervising, and appraising store staff
  • Coordinating recruitment, induction, and staff scheduling
  • Monitoring financial performance and preparing operational reports
  • Managing suppliers, negotiations, and concessionaire performance
  • Implementing merchandising programs and monitoring effectiveness
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements
  • Monitoring competitor activity and supporting continuous improvement initiatives
 

The ideal candidate must have proven experience in food retail or supermarket management, with knowledge of food handling, HACCP and hygiene standards.

This role requires excellent customer service and communication abilities, along with strong leadership and time management skills.
