GCS Malta is looking for a Senior Quantity Estimator to work with one of Malta’s leading solar energy companies.

 

Responsibilities

• Leading tender submissions for major projects.
• Attending management meetings to provide updates on tender progress and issues.
• Managing and guiding the tender team during pre-qualification and tender preparation.
• Reviewing tender documents and summarizing key requirements.
• Preparing technical documentation, including method statements and submissions.
• Compiling tender queries and managing responses.
• Monitoring and tracking tender progress and timelines.
• Coordinating with consultants, suppliers, and government authorities to obtain required information.
• Organizing and attending tender-related meetings and preparing minutes.
• Preparing and delivering tender presentations.
• Monitoring the market for upcoming tender opportunities.
• Liaising with prospective suppliers and obtaining quotations.
• Attending relevant events, conferences, training sessions, and site or factory visits when required.

 

The ideal candidate should hold a degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or Construction Management. Proven experience in M&E project and tender management is considered a strong asset.

This role requires strong experience in M&E estimating, tendering, and commercial management, along with excellent leadership, people management, and project management skills. The candidate must also be able to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.

Fluency in both English and Maltese is essential, while proficiency in Italian is considered an advantage.
