GCS Malta is looking for a Chief Financial Officer to work with a leading group of companies in Malta. The chosen candidate will play a strategic role in shaping the financial direction of the organization.

 

Responsibilities

  • Developing, implementing, and monitoring financial strategies, plans, budgets and KPIs to support the organization's goals
  • Conducting financial analysis, forecasting, and modelling to provide insights into business performance and future financial trends
  • Evaluating on the financial implications of strategic decisions
  • Preparing and presenting accurate and timely financial reports to the board of directors, executives, and other stakeholders
  • Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and financial reporting guidelines
  • Identifying and assessing financial risks, and developing strategies to mitigate these risks
  • Overseeing investment strategies and capital structure
  • Evaluating and recommending financing options, including debt and equity, to support the organization's growth and capital requirements
  • Ensuring compliance with tax and fiscal laws and regulations
  • Leading and managing the Finance & Accounting team, overseeing accounting functions
  • Providing financial expertise during negotiations and integration processes

 

The ideal candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field with a minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role. An MBA or CPA is considered an asset.

One must be proficient in both Microsoft Office applications, as well as accounting software.

Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal are required. Also, one must have the ability to work under pressure, and plan personal or the team's workload effectively.
